Brown Butter Baked Donuts with Beet Frosting

brown butter baked donuts with beet frosting // my bacon-wrapped life

I have the perfect Valentine’s Day present for you.

Breakfast in bed!! And not just any breakfast in bed. A hot-pink-donut-with-sprinkles kind of breakfast in bed. Which is the best kind, obviously.

Valentine’s Day is on a Sunday this year, which is just begging for a special themed breakfast for you and your favorite human(s). Foodie Favorites – February 18, 2015

foodie favorites - february 18, 2015 // my bacon-wrapped life

Valentine’s Day breakfast-in-bed by Brad (awww, right?!). Egg sandwiches are his specialty, and I ain’t complainin’ about it.

Bourbon Salted Caramel Fudge

bourbon salted caramel fudge // my bacon-wrapped life

Nice and pretty and perfect for Valentine’s Day (because, you know, we do holidays very early in food blogger land). But apparently my candy thermometer was a bit off, because I pulled them off the heat too soon and ended up with fudge. Watching them set up, I could tell they weren’t right and I got super frustrated. But then…THEN….we tried them. And they were so absolutely amazing that I couldn’t NOT share them with you guys. Enter: bourbon salted caramel FUDGE!
