Fudgy Chocolate Stout Brownies

fudgy chocolate stout brownies // my bacon-wrapped life

Happy (early) St. Patrick’s Day!! What better way to celebrate the Irish than with the richest, fudgiest brownies of all time? With booze, of course. Who do you think I am?

I absolutely love St. Patrick’s Day – it’s one of my very favorite holidays to make a festive treat for my blog. I love drinking stout beer and whisky, wearing green, and being super pale all year around, so an entire day dedicated to such things is highly exciting to me.

Foodie Favorites – March 18, 2015

I know I always do a food picture, but I couldn’t resist – this is a totally un-edited picture of the view from our new running path. WHAT!!!

Hey guys! How’s your week going? Did you do anything for St. Patrick’s Day? We were lame/exhausted after the past few weeks of moving and settling in, and there wasn’t really as much spirit here as I’ve grown accustomed to in Chicago, so we didn’t really do anything (besides drink beer, of course). I love the idea of making your own Milano cookies. What a fun project (and totally applicable all year, amiright?!)

More St. Patrick’s Day goodies – I’m loving this classic Irish soda bread. Irish soda bread sounds so humble and simple, but it’s soooooo good with some butta and jam. Must make!

Serious nacho business for the first football Sunday of the year!

Hey guys! Hope you’re having a good week. We’ve continued to have pretty great weather here (well, besides today), and we’re just enjoying a lazy end to the Chicago summer before a few hectic travel weeks coming up! Here are the things that are inspiring me in the kitchen this week:

This marbled matcha pound cake is absolutely stunning. I’ve never cooked with matcha powder before, but I can’t imagine a better inspiration to start!

These sea salt buttercream chocolate cupcakes are pure decadence. Usually I don’t go too crazy over cupcakes, but these flavors look absolutely out-of-this-world!
