Hi everyone! How’s your week going? Are you already planning out your Thanksgiving menus, too? If you need any ideas, may I suggest pumpkin pie? Or the best broccoli casserole ever? Or some homemade dinner rolls? Or pancetta mac n’ cheese perhaps? OK I’ll stop. I’m just so excited! My mom and I have finalized our menu and I’ll be putting together a shopping list this week. Decorative gourd season is here in full swing, and I am lo-ving it!

Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed last week’s roundup of German food + beer pics in lieu of Foodie Favorites. Now we’re back in action with a ton of links! 

Have you seen this pizza cake? The classy side of me is like “GET A GRIP” and the trashy side of me is like “MUST MAKE THIS IMMEDIATELY”. It’s Jekyll and Hyde in here, I tell ya.

This bacon butternut squash and Brussels sprouts mac n’ cheese is basically all my favorite things in one. My two favorite veggies in the world + cheese + pasta + buttery Ritz cracker topping + BACON? I’m soooo in love.

Hey everyone – happy how-the-hell-is-it-almost September! Yeah, it’s a theme this week. We’re mixing and matching fall and summer stuff here because I just can’t accept it yet. Let’s live in it and embrace the late summer weirdness!

First up this week: it’s not too late for s’mores, and these 15 creative s’mores ideas are giving me some epic ideas for using up the grahams and marshmallows I have leftover from these babies. Elvis + speculoos versions for the win!

Chicken and Sun-Dried Tomato Meatballs

I absolutely love fall, but it always has a tendency to sneak up on me. Like this year – when I left Chicago for a 10-day trip to the UK, it was 95 degrees. When I came back, it had dropped to the mid-60’s and our plane had to be re-routed due to severe thunderstorms. We’ve had a few days of Indian summer since then, but in general it felt like just like that, the days of fresh corn, heirloom tomatoes, and leaving the house without even thinking about wearing a jacket were gone. Luckily, most of my favorite foods are fall/winter foods and I can’t wait to spend the next 6 months eating warm, hearty meals and drinking Sam Adams Oktoberfest. Hell yes.
