Over the past few years, holiday truffles have become quite a tradition in my family. It’s not Christmas without a batch of truffles chilling in the fridge while I rig up some double-boilers in the kitchen. They’re something I never really consider making any other time of the year, which is the making of the best festive holiday treats.
I love making truffles because they’re pretty, decadent, and (shh!!) actually pretty easy – the perfect combo for holiday gifting and partying. They’re especially perfect for this time of year because not only do they make the most adorable, impressive, delicious Christmas gifts for family and friends, but they are also the perfect fancy bite-sized dessert for your New Year’s Eve spread! Nothing goes better with champagne than truffles, people. Let’s not fight the simple facts.

Guys, it’s here!!! The most wonderful time of the year!
I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I go all out for the holidays, at least food-wise. For us bakers, it’s pure heaven – so many opportunities to whip up sweet treats for our favorite people in the entire world! Between the endless piles of butter and sugar, Christmas carols, twinkly lights, and cozy nights (yes, even in California) it’s basically impossible not to feel warm and fuzzy in December. I LOVE it!
Hey guys! Happy DECEMBER! My very favorite month of the year. Instead of the usual Foodie Favorites today, I thought we’d mix it up with a seasonally appropriate round-up of my favorite treats for holiday baking and gifting that I’ve featured here on this here blog over the past few years. Because you’re already planning out all your holiday baking too, right?! And be sure to tune in this weekend – I’ll be adding to the list with an incredible Christmas cookie recipe!
Can I go back to last Thursday and eat this all over again, please?
Hey everyone! I missed you last week. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and absolutely ate your faces off. I know we certainly did! We feasted on pretzel bread stuffing, cheesy broccoli casserole, incredible bacon-roasted sweet potatoes, the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had, and so much more. It was an incredible Thanksgiving! Now, of course, I’m already in full-blown Christmas baking/nesting mode. I waste no time when preparing for my favorite holiday!! Here are this week’s Foodie Favorites.
