foodie favorites - august 26, 2014 // my bacon-wrapped lifeFancy sausages and my first Oktoberfest beer of the year at Sausagefest Chicago!

Hey everyone – happy how-the-hell-is-it-almost September! Yeah, it’s a theme this week. We’re mixing and matching fall and summer stuff here because I just can’t accept it yet. Let’s live in it and embrace the late summer weirdness!

First up this week: it’s not too late for s’mores, and these 15 creative s’mores ideas are giving me some epic ideas for using up the grahams and marshmallows I have leftover from these babies. Elvis + speculoos versions for the win!

This strawberries and cream and graham cracker crumble dessert looks so gorgeously simple. I may make those graham cracker crumbles just to eat with a spoon. No judgment here, right…?

I want to sit down with a fork and this meatball lasagna skillet and eat it all up. So warm and ooey-gooey and comforting! If fall is filled with giant meatballs, I can get into it.

I’ve had homemade pop-tarts on my baking to-do list forever, and these pistachio bakewell pop-tarts might just be the best version I’ve seen. Pistachio anything makes me weak in the knees, yo.

These blueberry pie donuts are too good to be true. That is all.

This peach-rosemary bourbon sparkler combines so many of my favorite things: peaches, bourbon, and champs. Get your cocktail on and make these before the peaches are gone ‘til next year!

That’s it for this week – hope you enjoyed this week’s Foodie Favorites! As always, please feel free to share any links you’re loving in the food world this week!
