One of my favorite things about having a food blog is the constant inspiration and motivation to make seasonal, fresh veggie-licious food.
And add bacon and cheese to it. In all seasons. Duh.

Butternut Squash and Bacon Pizza
This is my absolute perfect winter pizza.
And by that I mean it’s my perfect how-is-it-still-zero-degrees-on-March-2nd pizza.
I can’t look ahead to asparagus and artichokes and other signs of spring. I can’t think about bathing suits or sunshine or Vitamin D. It’s just too painful. Let’s just hang out here, in our PJs in the middle of the day (because obviously we haven’t been outside yet), gazing out of our snow-filled windows and eating butternut squash and bacon pizza. This is my happy place right now.

Bacon & Egg Farro Salad
Guys…I HATE winter.
I hate that it takes me 5 solid minutes of intense bundling to run to the grocery store. I hate that it gets dark at 4pm. I super-hate running on the treadmill. And I super-super-hate polar vortexes. I grew up in Southern California and my body just. can’t. deal.

Bacon-Wrapped Dates
It’s about time we did this, right?
You know, make something bacon-wrapped. Since it’s the name of the blog and all. While I think there are few things that couldn’t be improved when rolled into a little package and wrapped in bacon, bacon-wrapped dates are the O.G. bacon-wrapped indulgence, and for good reason.
