Boozy Bourbon Tiramisu Parfaits

Guys, I may be the worst future-wife ever. I bake almost every weekend, cook nearly every night of the week, and it’s taken me almost 6 years to make my fiancé’s very favorite dessert, classic Italian tiramisu.

Well this year, I decided that day had come. I whipped this up yesterday morning to be ready for a special Valentine’s Day dessert, and it turned out so easy and delicious I couldn’t help but share it with you guys. Admittedly, I totally food blogger-ed it up with bourbon (it’s my ultimate secret weapon swoon ingredient) and mason jars, but hey, it’s still the classic coffee-soaked ladyfingers with mascarpone situation. Italian grandmas, don’t hate me!

Missing these incredible Seattle dumplings this week! Vacation food is the best food.

Hi friends! How’s your week going? We’ve been keeping super busy around here and are planning on enjoying a low-key Valentine’s Day this weekend with a fancy homemade dinner, a bottle or two of wine, and maybe some Zoolander 2 (every woman’s dream, right?!). I can’t wait!! I hope you have a fun day planned with the people you love most, too (and maybe some sexy pink donuts). Here are this week’s Foodie Favorites!

I am totally drooling over this brown butter banana pudding. I love banana pudding, banana cream pie, etc. and the brown butter absolutely takes it over the top!

My soul is craving this spaghetti pie with pecorino and black pepper. I think this needs to happen in my house ASAP!

I have the perfect Valentine’s Day present for you.

Breakfast in bed!! And not just any breakfast in bed. A hot-pink-donut-with-sprinkles kind of breakfast in bed. Which is the best kind, obviously.

Valentine’s Day is on a Sunday this year, which is just begging for a special themed breakfast for you and your favorite human(s). There’s something so special and decadent about breakfast in bed – in my opinion, it’s pretty much the most romantic thing you can do for someone. Waking up to a mug of coffee and a homemade breakfast, and not even having to put on real pants to get it?! Heaven, people.

Restaurant Reviews: Best of Seattle

The incredible “scout mint” ice cream at Molly Moon’s!

This weekend, I took a quick trip to Seattle to visit my best friend Emily – and eat my weight in delicious things to report back to you all, of course. I’m so excited to share my favorite eats in Seattle with you guys – well, my favorite eats I could pack into 48 hours, at least!

Seattle is a very cool city – it reminds me of LA in that it feels very urban, but also spread out and spacious at the same time. It’s filled with fun neighborhoods that each have their own vibe to them, and there are parks and open green spaces, bike trails along the water, and all kinds of nature everywhere. Plus, the emphasis on locally grown, healthy sustainable food is found everywhere you look and is incredibly admirable – the excitement around Pacific Northwest food culture in Seattle is totally infectious. Emily and I ate a lot this weekend, and she was the best kind of tour guide (food-focused, that is). Here are some of my favorite things we ate!
